According to information from Rolling Stone, the rushed second album release from Gnarls Barkley “The Odd Couple” (rushed because the entire thing was prematurely leaked a few weeks ago on the internet) has managed to sell only around 31,000 copies in its’ first week of sales, placing it in the 18th spot for debut records.

Let’s face it- Gnarls Barkley has a lot to live up to- the success of their song “Crazy” has been unmatched in recent years. The genre’ bending anthem found universal acclaim among a huge base of fans for it’s unique and hard to define sound.

 
I don’t have a clue whose idea it was to put these two artists together for a duet but the result is nothing short of amazing. Before listening to this album I was obviously a fan of Mr. Plants but hardly knew of Alison Krauss.
