Review: Boss BR-600 Digital Multi track Recorder

Boss was perhaps one of the original multi track producers with their Roland Series of VS recorders back in the day.  I must admit I am fond of the VS880, which I am proud to say was my first dabble into digital multi-track recording. For those of you unfamiliar with the VS 880, this was […]

One of the nice things about the advent of computer driven recording solutions is the fact that you can score a pretty decent stand alone multi track recorder these days for nearly dirt cheap.

Review: Fostex MR8HD 8 Track Digital Recorder

You probably already know what I am thinking about this stand alone digital recorder…

Featuring built in memory of 2 gigs, USB connectivity, and rechargeable AAA nickel-hydrogen battery capable of providing 19 hours of MP3 recording to its 2GB of internal memory. I was impressed by the fact that plugging in the Pocketrak into your computer via USB actually charges the on board battery.

I know what you are saying, Yet another review of a field recording device with ultra high quality sound? Yes.
The Olympus LS-10 Linear PCM Recorder is a good performer in this ultra saturated market. This item is not available until Mid-March and will retail for $399. What I am already impressed with is the […]

Lexicon Omega Studio Specs Review - Great Software but Glitchy!

January 1st, 2008 Digital/Multi-track Recording | Post a Comment »

So I was looking to review another low cost PC recording solution and picked up the Lexicon Omega Desktop Recording Studio for a paltry $199.00. I have to admit that the price of the item got me skeptical about how good this thing would sound and how many features it would pack.
While I won’t go […]
