Well, well. Here we have another hot selling portable all in one recording solution from Tascam, the former champion of sales for this market. That is to say, before computers became more powerful than these ancient all in one machines. However, there is still one area in which these studios best computers: portability. Admittedly, with the advent of cheap laptops, the market for these recorders is getting squeezed out yet again.
The Tadcam DP-02CF is your standard Multi track recorder complete with 8 tracks, two XLR min inputs, true CD quality audio, and thankfully a USB 2.0 output fir further editing on your PC.
The biggest disappointment however is the fact that this all in one unit ships with a paltry 1gig SD card as the sole source of memory. Whee, big let down. Most computers have more ram than that!
If you get wrap your hhead around that fact than this recorder will certainly suffice for demo purposes.
Again, if you already have a computer I suggest investing in an Mbox and some killer software instead. These all in one machines are a dying breed.
