Constructed with a 5" woofer, the KRK RP-5 Rokit Powered Reference Studio Monitor's retail for only about $99 bucks and have quickly become one of the top selling studio monitors.
The woven glass aramid composite material gives tight low end response which will make your ears very happy. Physically, the KRK is a pretty attractive monitor which will is probably designed for small studios or budget musicians in mind.
However, I tried playing some of my demo songs out of this setup and was extremely impressed with the responsive audio that was pumped out of it. (review continued below...)
