Review: Gorilla Snot - Who Even Drops Guitar Picks?

While this item is certainly nothing new, I must admit that I myself have never heard of anyone in reality actually using this stuff. Gorilla Snot claims to improve your playing by using a low grade polymer which will allow your guitar pick to stick to your fingers better than those crusty socks under your bed!

I headed to my local music store and bought some if this stuff. I must say, I think that with this item the gorilla Snot team has solved a problem that is not actually a problem for many players. Basically, the Gorilla Snot people want you to believe that you really need to stick your precious guitar pick to your finger with a chemical based resin in order to play with piece of mind. Essentially, I thought the stuff worked extremely well.  However, I highly doubt that I would have even dropped my pick had I not been using the magical snot.

As promised, the snot removed easily enough and my pick stayed firmly stuck to my finger through hours of playing. What turned me off to Gorilla Snot was that after playing a live gig, a fan came up to me and tried to shake my hand. I forgot the pick was
chemically implanted betwixt my two digits and the pick stuck through the handshake. This was enough to freak me out completely.

Bottom line- if you have naturally sweaty hands and want some piece of mind while playing, go ahead and buy this stuff. Put it this way- the pros are clearly not using this stuff: they opt for a line of fresh picks attached to their mic stands.
