Ok, from the picture of this soon to be released Korg tuner, I must say that I have some doubts. First, it looks like there are only 5-6 LED strobes in the front of it. In my experience, the simplistic approach to guitar tuners is never a good thing.
However, Korg may be going this route with the Pitch Black Pedal Tuner, slated to be released in March 2008. What I've discovered is that the pedal itself is made from thick aluminum (I thought plastic at first glance). It seems to have some pretty professional features after all.
There are four display modes including: Meter, Full Strobe, Half Strobe, and Mirror. The pitchblack mutes the input signal for silent tuning, and when you re not tuning the input is passed directly to the output jack without being affected by any circuitry (True Bypass). This is good if, like me, you use a bunch of pedals on stage and are worried about your noise levels. What I really like about this pedal is that it has a DC power outlet in the back - good for providing power to any other DC type pedals (Boss works) you may own.
Overall seems like a promising product...
