New Product Review: Hal Leonard Guitar Hero Songbook

January 16th, 2008 Cool Books |

Yes folks, Hal Leonard, in an attempt to modernize it’s current catalog of titles is ready to release a new song book comprised of songs you will find from the hit video game, Guitar Hero.  This was probably a good marketing move on Hal Leonard’s part.

First, they no doubt already had these popular songs in their collection and simply had to dust them off and put them in this new Guitar Hero book. My problem with this guitar song book? My theory is that people who are masters of Guitar Hero, a game where you need no actual guitar talent, will most likely not be interested in learning how to really play these songs found in this book.

For some people I am sure that I am wrong but for the majority of Guitar Hero fanatics, this product may not appeal to them. This song book retails for $24.95 and includes notes and tab for 40 hit songs from Guitar Hero 1 and 2.
