Here is the latest version of Tascams very popular CD trainer line of products. If you are not familiar with a cd trainer, this device allows you to slow down songs ( usually guitar lead solos) without altering the pitch at all. This will let you tear apart Slash's November Rain solo with newfound ease.
The GT2 is the most compact version of this device to date. Tascam also has improved the LCD screen in this latest incarnation (review continued below...)

I find the display to be noticably brighter and also easier to read. Tascam is going for simplicity here so you will find the control layouts to be intuitive and straight forward. With this type of product your most important feature is Loop and the GT2 makes setting them up pretty easy.
A few selections on the front of the device will capture and loop any length of sound you want. Battery operation, headphone jack, and a host of inputs rounds out the GT2. One of my favorite feaures has to be the guitar canceller, which does a surprisingly good job of removing guitar rhythm tracks from most recorded music. Very helpful for isolaing bass lines! Solid product which will help anyone practice more effectivly.
