Review: Godin CT with HDR
The Godin CT with HDR retails for roughly $1200 and looks to be another fantastic electric guitar from the fast rising company.
First, this guitar is designed from the bottom up as a sidbody ellecttic which has a high quality glossy finish most similar to that found on Fender Strats (deep, dark, and amber). The neck of this guitar features bolt on style with a scale length of 24 3/4" which will appeal to solo players who are looking to attack the upper frets with relative ease.
The fretboard is constructed out of a good quality ebony wood which feels most similar to that of a Les Paul. What you will notice at the 12th fret is a unique solid band inlay which Godin has been adding onto a majority of their higher end electric guitars as of late.
The body is a fairly heavy piece of solid mahogany which feels lighter than a full fledged Les Paul but heavier than a basic Fender any day of the week.
As for electrical components you will find excellent Seymour Duncan humbuckers giving the guitar an overall fat and warm tonality.
Overall the Godin Summit CT looks like another winner from Godin.
