The 16x2 format has 8SL phantom powered mic preamps which will allow for recording or even live performances. This device is perfect for recording drums because of the 8 powered mic preamps.
As for computer interface you will find USB connection and even SPDIF.
For this price you cannot find a better value and the S16 is a perfect board for those interested in home recording.
