Review: Randall Kirk Hammett Signature RM100KH
The Randall Kirk Hammett Signature amp head retails at the time of this writing for around $2000 and was designed personally by Kirk to capture his customized settings and choice of tubes on a simple to use package.
This head tips distortion at 100 watt power which if turned up loud enough does have the ability to rip one's face off. Fir signature authentic tone Randall placed four JJ6L6GC's in this amp. From light almost dirty delta blues tones to full blown Kirk Hammett distortion this amp can handle with relative ease. You will find three distinct and seperately customuzable channels for great live applications. The included footswitch is well constructed and durable, unlike the poor wiring often found on Marshall JCM footswitches. Even if you are not a fan of Kirk Hammett this amp is damn sweet.
