Review: Focusrite Liquid Mix 16
The Focusrite Liquid Mix 16 is designed to provide a comprehensive array of vintage compressor and dq sounds in a small package. Retailing for around $800 at the time of this writing it appears like Focusrite is positioning the Liquid Mix 16 to appeal to the lower to mid range recording market at this price point.
Not only does the Mix 16 house over 40 compressors and 20 eq's sampled from actual vibrate and retro equipment, but the easy to use knobs and buttons on the front of the Liquid Mix 16 provide a highly useable control surface for any number of DAWs. It is not too hard to get creative and see the overall possibilities with that.
Online library from Focuseite assured you that even newer and more interesting sounds will be added online later. Good investment if you are seeking a sleek all-inclusive approach.
