Perhaps the "M" in M3 stands for monster, because this keyboard is absolutely crushing the competition in terms of overall features presented and price/performance. The Korg M3 lists for a healthy $3000 but savvy online shoppers can find certain merchants selling the Korg M3 almost a grand less. It does come in a few different flavors but the specs on the M3 are as follows.
The M3 offers 88 key weighted action using RH3 (real hammer action) that has 4 different velocity zones for various responses. The synthesizer heart and soul comes from the Korg EDS chipset which was redesigned from previous incarnations for faster processing at high definition levels. You also will find MMT (multi model technology) sound algorhthyms in play.
The weight of the keyboard is between 30-40 lbs, depending on different customizable features.
