Who do you know pulls up to a live show or studio session with a Vox guitar? More people should! The Vox DC Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar does not disappoint in any way! Initially appealing to jazz and blues players based on the semi hollow design, the Vox DC has proven itself to be a very versatile and unique guitar which sounds nothing like a Gibson.
The neck of the Vox DC is built from mahogany (which adds to the very heavy weight of this guitar). This baby tops out at 19.9 lbs making it one of the more heavier guitars on the market right now.
The body of the Vox DC is carved out of good quality mahogany ash ( again super heavy). On the electronics side you will fond that this guitar sports 2 Vox DiMarzio Three-90 Triple coils for incredibly hot and responsive sound. This makes for a fantastic dirty blues guitar which has the ability to produce blistering solos.
On the hardware end the Vox DC comes with an aluminum bridge. Vox Super Smooth custom tuners are also standard. This guitar retails for around $3300. Quite enjoyable to play and record as well. Enjoy!
