Retailing for sub $1000 dollars, the Godin 5th Avenue Archtop Kingpin is a solid performer in the guitar world based in quality craftsmanship and excellent design of this instrument.
The neck of this guitar is constructed of solid silver leaf maple, which us not often found in neck construction these days. The top of the body is built using an equally expensive piece of Canadian wild cherry, giving the wood a deep an rich look (not to mention great smell!).
The heart and sole if this guitar is probably the inclusion of the single pickup- a Godin Kingpin P90. This gives off a great jazzy tone that is a tad bit hot and dirty, yet retains good clarity and is overly responsive.
One of my favorite things about the Godin 5th Avenue Archtop is the semi hollow construction. This guitar has such a classy look and feel to it I never get tired of. For this price I highly doubt you can hardly find a better guitar. Enjoy!
