The Fender Jazzmaster Special is perhaps best known for simply looking like perhaps the most funky electric they make. The Jazzmaster Special runs for around $1200 and features an excellent construction out of solid alder with full ebony fretboard. What makes the Jazzmaster unique is that the Fender strat, on the other hand, is constructed out of solid mahogany. Alder found in the Jazzmaster offers an almost indescribable tonal quality that is certainly nothing like the Strat.
The pickups are similarly vastly different from the lace sensors found in mist modern strat guitars. The Jazzmaster Classic Special features two Special Design Hot Jazzmaster single-coils. The sound us dirty and incredible. These pickups scream and when paired with a great amp (Marshal JCM series) the lead tons you can achieve with this axe will have you playing better than ever.
I always find that a good guitar can enchance my playing simply because it sounds so darn good. The Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster Special is exactly that kind of guitar. It is not just asthetical appeal that distinguishes this fine instrument. Enjoy!
