Review: Gibson DSR-CE Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar

November 5th, 2008 | Acoustic Guitars, Ronz Gear Reviews

The Gibson name is definitely most popular among electric guitars (Les Paul anyone?) but to answer any doubts, Gibson can construct a quality acoustic electric guitar as well.  Continuing the grand tradition if quality crafted guitars, Gibson has released the DSR-CE retailing for just over $1000.

The Gibson DSR-CE has a solid spruce top with full rosewood sides and back for rich and warm tones. The all-mahogany neck has 20 frets and is quick and responsive with great action that in many ways feels very electric and is well suited for soloists.

On the electronics side you will find that Gibson choose to install Fishman Pro Blend electronics (good call) which really makes this guitar shine.  It runs from a single 9V battery.  Overall a top quality acoustic electric is found through the Gibson DSR-CE Dreadnought.
