Ok, for the price of $300-$400 do you really think a celebrity is going to buy and use this guitar? I don't think so either. I'm not saying that The Celebrity Deluxe Acoustic-Electric Guitar is a crappy guitar. I do think that the name of this beast is off, however. The look and feel of this guitar is amazing, with lush wood tones, a thick finish, custom design sound hole in the front of the guitar, and Ovation's famous backing.

The shallow body of this instrument adds to it's unique sound. When played without an amp I was actually surprised how loud it got, considering the sound hole is on the smaller end of the spectrum. However, this guitar truly shines when plugged into a capable acoustic amplifier. Clear and clean bass tones mix with crisp and accurate notes all over the fretboard. I was very pleased with my initial demo of this guitar. When held up to the more expensive Ovation models I find that there are some differences in terms of playability and action in the higher fret regions. Some of the more expensive Ovations feel almost like playing an electric guitar (due to the action being so effortless). While the Ovation Celebrity Deluxe Acoustic-Electric Guitar is not quite that effortless, for $300-$400 bucks it is certainly an excellent acoustic/electric guitar that is also very good looking.
