Review: Fender Squier Classic Vibe Duo Sonic Guitar
Let's clear the air. In my opinion if you are interested in picking up a guitar for the first time, I strongly suggest you avoid wasting your money on some Guitar Hero game and move instead towards a real electric guitar.
Such a great beginner guitar can be found in the Fender Squier Class Vibe Duo Sonic. Essentially, this guitar looks, feels, and plays much more than a sub-$300 dollar instrument. (review continued below...)

I think even for a seasoned musician, the Squier makes a great second backup guitar for use on the road or live gigs.
