As for the 3G, as promised the web surfing experience away from wifi is much faster than the rail up speed of the crappy Edge network and I have no complaints. Battery life is not ad bad as some reviewers have been making itout to be. First of all, there are creative ways of expanding battery life If you are smart: turn off 3G and wifi if you are clearly not going to be using these modes, like at work. That alone will give you hours of battery improvement.
