The Digidesign 003 continues the famous line of Pro Tools hardware modules which allow you to connect a plethora of input and output into your computer and communicates with Pro Tools software. As for features, the Digi 003 has amazing high fidelity recording resolution (True 24-bit/96kHz) for better than CD quality audio. Your initial recordings will most likely blow your ears off as you get used to the incredibly rich and professional sound achieved with this unit. What I like best about the Digidesign 003 is that it has more inputs than ever (a total of 8 analog inputs, 8 analog outputs). Amazing versatility. I was more pleased with the sound of this unit than the previous 002 model, which I have used for a solid 5 years. Basically, at around $1200 dollars you cannot find a more comprehensive solution. A+
