Review: Guitar Rig 3 from Native Instruments |

Guitar Rig series of software is likely regarded as one of the most intuitive pieces of software ever created for the electric guitar. Through the years, I have watched as other companies try hard to replicate the graphical based program without success.
For those unfamiliar with Guitar Rig 3, it basically offers a software based effects and cab emulation solution which houses almost ever effect imaginable. I have recorded these sounds with much success.
When I was first introduced to Guitar Rig, my first thought was that digital effects, especially software based often sound so terrible and noisy that they are rendered useless. Based on my recordings using this software I would recommend this as a viable solution, it sounds that good. Basically, my favorite thing about Guitar Rig 3 is that it is incredibly easy to customize effects. The digital distortion may not sound as good as a cranked tube amp but it will surprise you.
I highly recommend Guitar Rig 3.
