The sleek looking Apogee Duet FireWire Interface retails for around $500 bucks. For those of you out there who do not know, the Apogee Duet FireWire Interface is designed to provide multiple types of inputs/outputs for direct use with Apple's Garageband software, Logic Pro, or Soundtrack Pro.
Again, the style of this unit will match perfectly with the new line of aluminum iodized iMacs and sounds amazing. Plug in guitars, keyboards, and microphones and begin recording quickly. I travel extensively for work and tested out the Apogee Duet on the road.
With just a microphone, my Powerbook, and the Apogee Duet, I was able to lay down multiple tracks on the fly with my microphone setup. The build of this device is exceptional. Check out the official specs below:
