Retailing for around $150 dollars, the inMotion iM600 from Altec Lansing is yet another iPod speaker system.
As you know the market for these items is pretty heavily saturated so manufacturers are looking to give the consumer new features as well as better performance in order to allure them.
The inMotion iM600 sounds incredible with very loud, crisp performance that actually pumps a pretty convincing amount of low end out of a small 4 lbs package. What sets this dock apart is that it is designed to be completely portable.
The manufacturer tells me the battery is rated to last 7 full hours. In my field test with the item I would have to say that I think it met these standards. The battery most importantly is a rechargable lithium ion which means you will not have to keep buying expensive AA's.
I also found that the addition if a FM tuner was a useful and powerful addition which which works well. Overall the inMotion iM600 is money well spent.
