Update: Gnarls Barkley ‘The Odd Couple” Seems Like Initial Flop
According to information from Rolling Stone, the rushed second album release from Gnarls Barkley "The Odd Couple"(rushed because the entire thing was prematurely leaked a few weeks ago on the Internet) has managed to sell only around 31,000 copies in its' first week of sales, placing it in the 18th spot for debut records.
Perhaps Gnarls fate as "Crazy" one-hit wonder is beyond control in this situation.
Personally, I feel bad for musicians trying to earn a living in this day and age. First of all, there is more competition than ever, album sales are down industry wide, jobs are being cut, and iTunes has single-handedly caused much of this disaster, some would argue.
I don't know, maybe I'm craaaazy...
