Review: Yamaha FX-370C Acoustic Guitar |
|---|
March 26th, 2008 | Acoustic Guitars |
Yamaha has just released a new acoustic cutaway guitar and I want to spend just a few minutes on this thing.
The FX-370C acoustic-electric has a full Spruce top and Nato back. These types of woods have been used by Yamaha for years and I find that they have performed very well. In my opinion the FX-370C acoustic-electric is a fine guitar for the money. It features 3 band eq, adjustable mid-range frequency knobs on the side of the guitar and even includes a hardshell case.
When actually playing the guitar, I find that with a good quality acoustic amp, this guitar does performed pretty well in the low end acoustic-electric category. I found that the action certainly lacks some punch in the upper frets but the overall tone sounds deep and responsive when played even hard and loud.
If you are looking for your first acoustic-electric guitar I think the FX-370C is not a bad option. Of course, I suggest going to the store and playing around with the settings in order to see if this guitar is right for you. It retails for around $300 dollars.

Hi Ron. I found your review for the FX-370C very informative. But tell me, I’m a beginner in the guitar area and I’m considering on buying this Yamaha model. What do you think about that? Will I regret or this will be a good investment? Thanks. Greetings from Brazil.
