Review: Brookstone BoomBucket Portable Music System for iPod |

Here is an interesting concept- a portable stereo system for the iPod that will allow you to rock out without having to be plugged in.
Manufacturer claims that the battery lasts for up to 8 hours and is fully rechargeable in order to save you the costs of buying more batteries.
My biggest problem with this item is not the audio quality, which I'd surprisingly good, although pales in comparison to the Bose Sound Dock. Essentially, my biggest concern is that you will most likely be using the BoomBuck outdoors.
The device was designed poorly in my opinion because the iPod is fords to face directly upwards- towards the scorching burn of the sun. There is no protection against this whatsoever.
For $150, the bucket isn't cheap, sounds decent, and will be fun for parties. The problem with this concept though is that if you are interested in protecting your iPod, buy a non portable option that has louder sound and crank it up safely through a window or under some shade!
