Review: Apple iPod Shuffle Review 1 Gig |

I have been using the most diminutive player Apple has ever created for roughly 3 months now. I am seriously impressed with the newest version of Apple iPod Shuffle.
Think back to the first generation Shuffles. They were plastic and almost looked like overgrown tampons that could play music. This thing is constructed out of the same anodized aluminum as many of Apple's latest products.
First, at only 1 gig of storage, you have to be pretty selective about what music you are storing on this thing. I have no problem doing this. I find that this Apple iPod Shuffle makes an incredible workout mp3 player: it is small, lightweight, and does not move very much.
What I like to do is put some good exercise music on this thing and hit the treadmill like never before. What I also find incredible about the Shuffle is that it feels so incredible in the hand. With a few flicks of the thumb you can scan through a ton of your music. The software even allows you to access different playlists by clicking the player a few times.
As for battery life, I find that with a good charge I can workout for about 2 weeks without recharging. I would guess about 20 hours of actual playtime. Incredible. At $79 bucks, I suggest buying this as a more portable iPod option when traveling. I personally HATE to have heavy things stuck in my pockets when I am flying (crammed next to some overweight dude). Check it out.
