Well, for anyone who didn't want to buy an Apple iPod Touch because it's capacity was too paltry, think again.
Apple just unveiled an update to their ultra-popular line of touch screen iPods in 32 Gig capacity. This doubles the storage space and will retail for $499.00, possibly too steep for some people. My theory is since Apple is now allowing Movie rentals, they may have naturally wanted to bump the capacity of both the iPod Touch and iPhone. I have owned the 16 gig version for the past 6 months and have to say, I have had to cut out and select only the best songs and video for my player.
Also, Apple may be preparing for the next stage- enough capacity for incredible 3rd party applications.
There is no doubt that the iPod Touch is essentially a pretty powerful computer and more room equals more powerful options on the go. The question remains whether people will dish out $499 for 32 gigs. My guess is that they gladly will. Who knows, in 3 months Apple will certainly lower this to $399.

I own the 16gb ipod touch also, but I’m not as upset being that I upgraded from a 4gb first gen mini. I’m more than happy with the capacity but cant help but feel that apple are being assholes as usual with releasing newly updated products less than a year from debuting one. And it costs way to much, i might have waited and got more money if i had not yet bought the 16, but 500 dollars is still over the top
I’m pissed, i just bought my 16gig ipod touch, and now they unveil a 32 gig? AWWW COME ON!
I bought a 16 gig, heard about the 32, and returned the 16 after 15 days. Who says you can’t return an engraved ipod?
That’s ummm, fraud.
I just called the apple customer service number and asked nicely. They even paid for shipping and restocking. I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask, and they allowed it. The worst they can ever do is say no, right?
First of all people dont get your panties in a bunch. do you know how much a used ipod is going for nowadays? almost as much as a new one. look on e-bay or even look up refurbished or used ipods on the internet and you’ll see their only maybe 25$ shy of a brand new one. Quit yer bitchin, sell your old one and shell out a couple of more bucks for a new one(fuckin crybabies)
