Review: New Apple iPod 8 gig Nano
Wow, Apple has gone a completely new direction stylistically with their new incarnation of the iPod nano.
What you will initially notice is that Apple had ditched the slim width of the old Nano and instead opted for a wider, almost fatter redesign. The purist of this was to allow for a wider, more expansive display that even allows for the playing of video content. (review continued below...)

...One of my major complaints regarding the old generation Nano was that it was poorly suited for displaying pictures or album art. The 2 inch diagonal width display crams an amazing 320 x 240 pixel resolution. If you have seen the iPod classic youn will notice that the Nano is roughly half the size of the standard iPod.
The 8 gig model will hold approximately 2000 songs I'd hours of video content as will. I have had this player for a while now and must tell you that I love the build quality of this player. It is constructed entirely from iodized metal and glass and feels amazingly great in
one's hand.
I find that battery life in the iPod Nano is great and probably lasts me a good 20 hours of play time. I was concerned when this player came out that it was ugly and fat. I have come to love the new design of the iPod nano and feel that overall, this may well be the best constructed player Apple had ever released.
Another amazingly awesome thing is the updated software. The old generation iPods did not display album art very well. This player displays a rolling album image with each selection and has Coverflow accessable through the scroll wheel, which is very responsive
throughout.
All in all the New iPod Nano is awesome and will be a welcome addition to your family. I think that seeing it in person really allows you to notice its true beauty. Check it out!

Thanks for the great article. Keep up the good work.
I am a bit worried that the Nano 4 feels too light and is so thin that it will easily break under pressure.
