This may be one of the weirdest products we here at Wiser-Rocker have reviewed in quite some time. Enter the Korg KAOSSILATOR Dynamic Phrase Synthesizer. Complete with a touch pad, this pocket sized synth houses 100 of Korg's most famous synth sounds and allows anyone (and we mean anyone) to perform them in perfect pitch with some pretty smart software.
First of all, this things is essentially a musical instrument that requires no real talent. This is not necessarily a bad thing. (review continued below...)

The KAOSSILATOR produces sounds in any key or pitch, major or minor scales, and allows the user to activate these strange tones by simply tapping or sliding your fingers around the pad.
I was generally impressed with how this product worked. In no time at all I was tapping and sliding fingers in each direction and creating some very interesting sounds. One use I could see for this would be to create some Radiohead type live effects. Simply busting this thing out on stage would give your band instant street credibility and originality! Includes one hundred powerful sound programs that combine Korg's legendary modeling synthesizer engine with the effects from the KAOSS PAD series. Honestly, this thing is more fun than it seems. If you have $199.00 and want something new, check this out.
