Rocktron Banshee Talk Box Review – ‘Talk’ about a Guitar Pedal!

So I tried out the Rocktron Banshee Talk Box guitar pedal. This guitar pedal, my friends, is easily one of the coolest pedals I've ever used...
If you are reading this article and don't know what a talk box is, a talk box is an effect that allows you to modify the sound of a musical instrument using your mouth. Yes, your mouth.
How it Works:
When activated, the sound from the amplifier is reproduced by the speaker in the talk box and directed through the tube into the performer's mouth. The shape of the mouth filters the sound, with the modified sound being picked up by the microphone. The shape of the mouth changes the harmonic content of the sound in the same way it affects the harmonic content generated by the when speaking.

Simply plug your guitar into the pedal, run the plastic tube up to your microphone and your guitar is ready to speak to your fans. Output, tone, and gain adjustments can be used to tweak your sound.
I like cranking up the distortion and ripping some nasty solos on this thing. Slash has used this pedal during the Use Your Illusion touring days. Overall, if you are looking into a Talk Box device, the Rocktron Banshee Talk Box has great sound quality, it's easy to use, and has enough flexibility to get your started quickly. I would have liked to see some additional customization but for the money, you can't beat this thing.
